1

We believe in God who is known to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the creator who seeks to restore fallen humanity by calling all people to turn from sin and live in faithful fellowship, worship, service, and witness.

2

We believe in Jesus, the Son of God, who showed in His life and teaching how to be faithful, and through His cross and resurrection, offers salvation to all who believe.

3

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the eternal Spirit of God, empowers the church, and is our source of life in Christ.  By the power of the Spirit the church preaches, testifies, and heals. By the gift of the Spirit, all members are called to ministry.

4

The church is a community of those whom God’s Spirit calls to turn from sin, acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord, receive baptism upon confession of faith and follow Christ in life.

5

The church community gathers regularly to worship, to pray, to celebrate the Lord’s Supper and to hear the Word of God in mutual accountability.

6

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God.  The faith community, under Holy Spirit guidance, interprets the Bible in the light of Jesus Christ to discern God’s will for our obedience.

7

God created sexual identity, creating us male and female, in the image of God.  God designed sexual intimacy for those who are called into heterosexual marriage, which is to be a lifelong covenant of love and faithfulness.

8

We believe that the Spirit of Jesus empowers us to trust God in all areas of life.  We are called to be peacemakers who renounce violence, love our enemies, seek justice, and share our possessions with those in need.

9

We seek to live in the world without conforming to the powers of evil, witnessing to God’s grace by serving others, caring for creation and inviting all people to know Jesus as Savior and Lord.

10

The church is called to proclaim and to be a sign of the kingdom of God.Christ commissions each of us to be his witnesses in word and deed, sharing the gospel and making disciples of all nations.
